COVID-19 Virus Update 2020-03-04T17:18:34+00:00

Halldale Group is closely monitoring the development of the COVID-19, coronavirus outbreak and will take a responsible, cautious, approach to global concerns over travel, welfare and other issues that affect our 2020 events.

First and most importantly, we will continue to monitor the situation as the disease spreads into other countries. The total at time of writing is now 69 (confirmed) countries covering most major markets. We are taking appropriate action to continue providing our employees, and partners, a safe and healthy working environment.

At this stage, in accordance with WHO (World Health Organisation), National and local government recommendations, we do not have any plans to cancel any of our 2020 events.

The situation remains very dynamic, as information continues to change day-to-day, and we will provide weekly updates via our websites and newsletters or direct to clients, should that be needed.

The airline industry has a long history of managing adverse situations and in the thirty years that we have been working with the airline, simulation and training industry we have worked closely together with our partners to responsibly keep our businesses moving forward.

The general dynamics of our community did not alter after previous crises, such as 911, SARS et al in that, despite serious setbacks and very tough business environments from time to time, the predicted doubling of the global fleet was still achieved and safety improvement continued.

We expect a similar doubling of the fleet in the next 20 years and we continue to deal with personnel shortages, rapid technology changes, dynamic growth and significant training change. Our joint mission, as a global Simulation and Training community, remains critical in helping global airlines maintain their excellent safety record through continually improved  training. Meetings such as ours are a key part of this process and should continue as scheduled where possible and sensible.

We remain committed to providing the superior service and support that our customers have come to expect of our company throughout this situation.
